We’re Francie and Col. G. Robert Stevens.  Francie grew up surrounded by her father’s English Setters, and we have been breeding our own English Setters for nearly 30 years.  In that time, we’ve had quite a memorable list of champions and wonderful companions.

The first Fieldplay litter was bred by Francie's father in 1942. Bob and Francie got their first English Setter, Cabin Hills Hullabaloo, in 1957.  Then, they had Sir's son, Judge.  Judge was dearly loved by all: family and friends.  After Judge died, Francie didn’t want to get another dog . . . losing Judge nearly broke her heart.  But after a year, Francie realized the family needed a dog in their lives.  Their next dog was Prairie's Stormy Sky.

Then, after several years of searching for a foundation bitch, they found Windem’s Lotsa Dots bred by their dear friend Jack Gohde, Jr. and Kay Monaghan. Lotsa Dots came home to the Fieldplay Kennel in February 1981, and went on to become an American and Canadian Champion.  Dot was a BIS winner and a multiple BISS winner including the ESAA 1983 National Specialty.
